Big Public LED Screens

Posted on October 16, 2014 ยท Posted in Events

The UK is the leader in Big Screens and, for the past ten years, permanent screens delivering events and information have sprung up in city centres as part of programmes led by the BBC and LOCOG, in both cases managed and delivered by Mike Gibbons and his teams with partners in all locations.

These are the London 2012 Live Sites, some of the 70 different places in the UK where audiences gathered during the Olympic and Paralympic Games to watch Team GB and Paralympics GB take magnificent Gold Medal honours across a wonderful summer.

These Big Screens operate 16 hours a day and are the focus for local activities and content. Built in several phases, these Live Sites have become ‘the’ place to see major sport from Andy Murray at Wimbledon to England’s attempts to win a football tournament to the ‘Ashes’; watch relays of big concerts from opera to Live 8, experience new sport activities such as how to play volleyball, take up the triathlon or basketball; together with big local events bringing the city centre alive.

Many temporary screens are used for one-off events across the UK each year so, if you have a single site or major campaign use for Big Screens of any type, with or without activation on-site, then we can help you.
